OPENING SOON! RARE CHEST RICHES MINI-EVENT

Playing or watching Borderlands 3? Score better loot from Rare Chests for a limited time.

Coinciding with the end of our current Farming Frenzy and Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite scaling events, a new Rare Chest Riches mini-event starts today! During this mini-event, which is scheduled to run for two weeks, the rarity of loot inside all Rare Chests will be increased, giving you a better shot at Legendary items any time you open one. The increased rarity of loot will also apply when you watch a streamer on Twitch open a Rare Chest while both of you have the ECHOcast Twitch Extension enabled. That means a one-in-four chance of sharing in their good fortune and claiming one of the items for yourself!

Any rewards you score via streamers' Rare Chests will be waiting for you in your in-game mailbox the next time you play Borderlands 3. If you're unsure where to look for streamers who are playing Borderlands 3, check out the official Borderlands Twitch channel where members of our Stream Team often make a point of opening Rare Chests while they hunt for loot to optimize their builds.

In case you haven't done so already, here's a step-by-step guide to linking your SHiFT and Twitch accounts so you can receive ECHOcast rewards:

• If you don't have a SHiFT account, you can set one up for free at the Gearbox SHiFT site.
• If you don't have a Twitch account, you can set one up for free by heading over to Twitch and using the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page.
• Linking your accounts is easy. Visit the settings tab on your SHiFT profile page by clicking the little gear icon, click on the Twitch logo under "Connections," and follow the onscreen instructions to link your account. Alternatively, sign in to your SHiFT account over at the Gearbox SHiFT site, click on "Gaming Platforms" on the left, and then click on the "Link" option under the Twitch logo. You can also click the "SHiFT Account Link" button under the Events tab within the ECHOcast extension itself to navigate to the SHiFT site and link your accounts if you haven't done so already.

The Rare Chest Riches event will begin when a hotfix is deployed at 9:00 AM PT on Thursday, January 30 and is scheduled to run until 8:59 AM PT on Thursday, February 13. Don't forget that when you're not opening Rare Chests yourself you can augment your arsenal while watching streamers on Twitch. And if you're planning to stream Borderlands 3 on Twitch, be sure to enable the ECHOcast Extension on your channel so that you can share your loot with your audience.
