The fifth campaign add-on for Borderlands 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch, and available for FREE to owners of Borderlands: Legendary Collection or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Switch until December 3. Claim your copy from the Nintendo eShop. Requires Borderlands 2 (included in Borderlands: Legendary Collection and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection) to play.
Released earlier this year, Borderlands: Legendary Collection for Nintendo Switch includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as well as a sizeable selection of major add-ons and other extra content for each game.
Starting today, and for free until December 3, anyone who owns Borderlands: Legendary Collection or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Switch can add another adventure to their collection via the Nintendo eShop: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary.
The fifth campaign add-on for Borderlands 2, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary details the events leading up to Borderlands 3 and introduces some exciting features.
Battle Dahl forces and various mutations of the local flora and fauna in unexplored areas of Pandora. Encounter new bosses and score top-tier Effervescent loot as well as customization options for your Vault Hunters and vehicles. It also introduces a new level cap, which you'll want to hit if you plan on putting your skills to the ultimate test in the two new endgame OP levels.
To install this campaign add-on search the Nintendo eShop for "Borderlands" then download the "Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary" DLC. Once the download is finished, launch Borderlands 2 as usual.
To access Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary content after installing it, simply travel to the new "Fight for Sanctuary" location from any Fast Travel station. If you have an existing Borderlands 2 Vault Hunter that's at least level 30—the minimum level recommended for this content—you're good to go! If you don't, and you're anxious to get started, you have the option to create a new level 30 Vault Hunter from the Select Character screen that will automatically load into the start of the new content.
The current limited-time offer to get Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary for free is available only to owners of Borderlands: Legendary Collection or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Nintendo Switch, but the add-on is also available for purchase on the Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
When this limited-time offer ends, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary for Nintendo Switch will become a for-purchase product on the Nintendo eShop.
Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary will be available for free to all owners of Borderlands: Legendary Collection or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Nintendo Switch until December 3, 2020 at 16:59:59 UTC (08:59:59 PST). Requires Borderlands 2 to play.
