Coinciding with the release of Director's Cut on April 8, check out these new additions coming to Borderlands 3!
The Director’s Cut add-on brings all new ways to play Borderlands 3, including a monstrous raid boss, new story missions, Vault Cards with daily and weekly challenges, and behind-the-scenes content. But if that wasn’t enough, there are two additions coming free for all players! As part of an update going live alongside Director's Cut on April 8, two new machines are being added to the base game: Crazy Earl's Reroll and Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine.
Crazy Earl's Reroll is a huge boon to Vault Hunters looking to get the most out of their gear. You'll find this machine near Crazy Earl's reclusive residence in the cargo bay of Sanctuary III, right across from the Veteran Rewards vending machine. By spending some of your precious Eridium, Crazy Earl's contraption will replace the existing Anointment on an item.
Anointments are powerful effects attached to some items that can unlock the full potential of your character build. By rerolling the Anointment on your favorite pieces of gear, you can create the most optimized loadout imaginable and become the envy of all your fellow Vault Hunters. But buyer beware: when using Crazy Earl's Reroll, the replacement Anointment you get is entirely up to Crazy Earl, and you can't revert back to your previous Anointment. No take-backsies!
As for Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine, everyone's favorite Saurian is surprisingly tight-lipped on the subject. All we know for certain is that this vending machine offers top-tier Legendary loot and will be hidden in a new location each week (though you won't need to scour any DLC areas as it only appears in zones from the base campaign). It'll be up to the Borderlands community to track down Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine each week and see what he's got!
