Starting today, take part in this collective challenge and earn a new Vault Hunter Head in Borderlands 3!
Prepare your ears for an onslaught of thunderous explosions and excitable yelling because Mister Torgue is putting out an expletive-filled call to the entire Borderlands 3 community! Starting today, he'll be keeping tabs on how many Circle of Slaughter arenas you and your fellow Vault Hunters can conquer, as you work together to unlock a spiffy new cosmetic reward for all!
Should you and the community successfully complete a collective total of 50,000 Circles of Slaughter, we'll share a SHiFT code that grants the new Daemon Vault Hunter Head which can be equipped to all characters! Once it's unlocked, you can redeem the SHiFT code here on Borderlands.com, on the Gearbox SHiFT site, or via the in-game Social menu in Borderlands 3. Borderlands 3 and SHiFT account required to redeem. Each code may be redeemed once (1) per SHiFT account.
As with Maurice's Community Carnage Challenges, anyone playing Borderlands 3 can contribute to this collective goal. The fine folks at the Torgue manufacturing company will be tallying the community's total Circle of Slaughter completions behind the scenes, with Mister Torgue himself overseeing your triumphant victories and humiliating, body-mutilating defeats.
If you haven't yet experienced the mayhem of a Circle of Slaughter for yourself, these gore-soaked arenas pit you against waves of increasingly deadly enemies and can be found throughout the galaxy. Should you manage to survive five rounds, each consisting of multiple waves, you'll be rewarded with a chest full of appropriately powerful loot.
For this challenge, all Circles of Slaughter completions will be counted whether you're brave enough to attempt it solo or with some trusty companions as a group, with difficulty scaling based on party size. Banding together with your fellow Vault Hunters for multiplayer teamwork is easy—just queue up for Circles of Slaughter via the Matchmaking tab in the pause menu! There are three Circle of Slaughter arenas in all:
- Cistern of Slaughter (found in the Meridian Metroplex on Promethea)
- The Slaughter Shaft (found in Konrad’s Hold on Pandora)
- Slaughterstar 3000 (space station discovered via a quest starting at Desolation's Edge on Nekrotafeyo)
Now get out there and show Mister Torgue your propensity for badassery by crushing the Circles of Slaughter with reckless abandon! Those enemies aren't going to blow up into a bloody mist on their own!
